Shaky
So.. I'm supposed to be going to Christchurch in a bit over a week.. Elmo's not so keen on me going as he is a worry wart, but the boys in Christchurch say that it was mostly outside of town (Canterbury) and that their store and surrounds are OK, the hotel is OK and the sewerage and water are OK. I might just play it by ear next week, the airlnes are only allowing change of plans/refunds for travel up to 14th September and I leave on the 20th.
Stupid me also didn't check her flights properly.. Elmo took so long to confirm he was coming with me to Perth nexrt week that I lost out the flight I wanted on Sunday (without paying double) and am on a later flight. I get in at 11.45pm on Sunday and then am on an 8.45am flight to Christchurch the next day. Maybe I should just spring for a room at the airport hotel as I won't get any sleep Sunday night especially as I'll be panicking about not getting to the airport in time.. argh. Stupid boys.

it shows the big quake and all the little aftershocks. It's been cool talking to them, they say that noone knew there was a fault line in the area. Sure they get tremors as echoes from other quakes further away but this one caught everyone by surprise.
