Holy shit an update

That's right, I'm updating from my new favorite place to be with my iBook: Panera. The two nearest Paneras offer free wifi. That's really exciting. Of course, I use it all that I can. What's even better is that they have like a special coffee card thing where every time that you have coffee, you can get it marked off. After 8, you get a free coffee of your choice. So, just drink their endless gallons of regular coffee and then have yourself the most expensive item that you'd never normally get. It's genius!

Ok, synopsis of every thing right now:

* First and foremost, many people know that I have a girlfriend. I'm just mentioning it. Pretty damn awkward to do it 2 months after you start dating, now isn't it?

* I'm a Mac fag. That's right. I've totally given up on PCs. I love my 12" iBook so much. In case you live under a rock (or in a Windowed world), Mac OS 10.4 "Tiger" was released on Friday. With my educational discount, I preordered it on the 13th of April. As expected, it came on Friday. Ecstatic, I popped in the installation DVD and fired up the installer. I got errors on how the DVD couldn't be verified (meaning there was a problem). Foolishly, I installed. And hosed my iBook. I reinstalled OS 10.3.5 only to discover that my profile had been hosed, my hard drive littered with the failure that was my Tiger installation. Thankfully, I found my old profile and will be backing it up onto my network file server that I got back up and running. Gulliver is now back in a new shell running a different Linux flavor. Thankfully, my replacement Tiger installation DVD will be arriving on Monday. I haven't updated this installation because I'm going to be wiping it within the next 24 hours.

Fun Fact: This is the first OS that I've ever purchased outside of the original OEM OS that comes with the computer.

* I bought a PSP and everyone calls me a bastard. I'm so excited by it! Wipeout Pure is beautiful, Lumines is addicting. Any game that you can play 2 rounds of in what you think is only 20 minutes only to find an hour has gone by is A-OK in my book. I can't wait to see what comes out for it soon! Sony has a killer handheld console on their hands.

* Saw The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy last Friday in Orlando with Bryce, RC, and their roommate, Andrew. Awesome and funny movie. This fan of the Guide liked what they did with it. Before anyone disagrees, take a look at the difference between the books and the radio show. There are differences between each version.

* This is going to sound out there, but I went to Satellite's prom. I'll say this: Prom is much more fun when you aren't in high school.

* I love Bea. Her and I go driving around on the weekends and it's so nice. I've found that Stereolab is awesome music to listen to while going 90 MPH down 528 with Bea's top down. In case you forgot, Bea is the Sebring Convertible that I bought back in January. Top Down > Air Conditioning anyday.

* Speaking of Stereolab's "Oscillons from the Anti-Sun" is phenomenal. The music videos on the DVD are great. The three live performances on the DVD have something special to them. Everyone knows how Laetitia looks because she's been in many pictures with the band. But, trying to find a good picture of Mary before her death is much harder to do. Those three live performances include her as apart of the set. There's something to those performances with Mary that brings something special forward. Maybe it's the fact that I will never be able to see Stereolab live with Mary.

* Right after Spring Break, I hit a stage of apathy with all my classes. Online classes suck and Chemistry is boring once you have had it before. Photography is great, but I just haven't had the time and motivation for it.

* I'll be going to FIT next year. I'm working on a scholarship to pay for the tuition on the last two years of school. Also, I'm working on getting my way into engineering at Harris. I have a few people to talk to and others working on what I can during school.

That's about it for now. I think that's a pretty good overview of everything.
