Camp Hollywood

So I got back late last night from Camp Hollywood (a massively huge swing dancing event) and it has totally stoked my fire for dancing.

When I went to Camp Jitterbug in May, I was really excited to spend some quality time in Seattle and all the dancing was just an extra bonus.

Since Camp Hollywood is in LA (and I despise LA and want to spend as little time there as possible) I spent the entire weekend in the hotel and it really afforded me the ability and focus to just hunker down and concentrate on bettering my dancing ability.

Although I have to say that one of the finer points of the weekend was the impromptu worship service that was held on Sunday during the lunch break between classes.  What really excited me about this wasn't just the fact that there were a slew of Christian dancers worshiping God together, but that two of the best dancers I've ever seen came by  (Jeremy Otth and Laura Keat).  It was totally a great thing to see them loving God then going on to win a crapload of contests.

All in all the weekend was astounding and I wish all my dancing friends coulda been there.
