Weddings
So...maybe it's just me but wow, it's just me but they seem to be everywhere lately. Not that there is anything wrong with that- weddings are awesome, fun, they make me happy. It's just that it seems that a ta'veren has waltzed through the world around me and caused everyone to decide to get married. Thankfully it skipped me, that would not be so cool I think.
Anyways- this stems from the fact that I went to go hang out with a friend last night who I haven't hung out with since September. (Allyssa isn't so good on the whole hanging out thing as many of you know). Now, at that time she was fully single and enjoying it, going out once in a while with a guy but no actual relationships. I'm talking to her last night and she's currently in a relationship with a guy she met not long after we had hung out. Which is good, go her! And then she tells me that she thinking about marrying him. Which definitely took me by surprise, (especially since her joy at being single stemmed from the fact that she had realized that she is only 21 and has a whole life ahead of her and that she doesn't need to be dating seriosly at this point). So yeah- that was a shocker. But I'm happy for her, and I really hope it all works out. He seemed like a good guy from what she said and his pics. But I'll reserve ultimate judgment till I meet him.
Now, in total this brings the current tally to:
Wedding dates set: 3
Engagments: 2
Promised: 3
Throw in ~3 more for people I know are planning a wedding but I don't know them so well and.... well thats over 10 people with marriage on their minds.
That just strikes me as a lot of wedding going on. Maybe I'm just paranoid though because I realized the other day just how long I've been dating.
Anyways...just thought that I'd share this random fact of my life. *grin*
