Our garden on the Isle of Wight can be a lot more exciting than it has any right to be. This beautiful Sparrowhawk landed in our garden today, complete with his/her own offering for lunch. I may actually take it upon myself to clean the conservatory glass, it was so frustrating trying to take stealthy shots through it this afternoon.

It actually came back for a third time this morning, at about 7:15am it was back on the fence peering down at its kill! It seems very proud of it.

That reminds me, I saw a bunch (or whatever the collective is) of partridge the other day in a field! I hadn't seen partridge for years and there were six of them just by the side of the road. Should have stopped and caught them for dinner LOL
