I'm a little pea....
Today was the fashion show! It's funny how much it reminded me of the OC! Sura was Marissa, frantically running around trying to make sure everything went smoothly. There were all the ditzy models with their boob implants!!! You know the ones you slip in to give you more bust.... BUT, it was also the first time ever that i sung on stage!!! I was freaking out before... i finished a whole bottle of water in five mins because my throat kept gettign parched. But the amazing thing was that once i got on there i didnt feel it! I think i am finally getting over the stage fright. I dont wanna jinx it, but thats monumental for me! Because I always felt like it held me back. Phase two of the self improvement program has been a success. (Phase 1 being independence.. and no i dont really order them into phases lol)
Anyway so today was madly hectic. MADLY. I woke up. I spoke to Tala about tech rehearsals. Told Lexi about tech rehearsals. Made an apopintmetn with the hair dresser to get my hair done. Had a bath. Went to get my hair straightened. Came back, ate in like five mins, changed. went to school for tech reherals only to find that the sound equipmetn wasnt even set up!!! So i helped Tala and my brother with their song until the got the mikes and the music system and everything. me and Lexi ran thru it a couple of times to try and work out the balance and stuff..After tech, I went to get my eyebrows and upper lip done. Then I went to AUB Outdoors..whcih is like a spring carnival. ( mY school ishaving one too for which i need to go put up posters all over town before it is too late!) Hung out there for a while.... Went home, had a bath, changed, walked to school, freaked out, went on stage, performed, watched the rest of the fashion show ( we were the openin act!), went to bliss where i met taylor and alina (unplanned too!), went to hardees to grab a bite, back to tay's, then home. PHEW! and all that on foot or by cab!!! my driver is in his village coz its near the syrian border.... my mom is in syria right now. so its just me and my brother!
OOH! i met this really cute guy at the fashion show. Actually I have met him before, but we didnt really talk or anythgn then so i didnt remember him, altho he looked familiar. He is a friend of Taylor's who got to know him through Nadim.. so she brought him with her to the show. After I performed I went to sit with them... so we were talking. He's a singer... and he has good taste in music... and he's a cutie. lol.. Just a little JAMcandy!
It's weird that today feels sort of surreal. And bitter sweet. I know today happened. But i don't feel today happened. Which sucks because the weekend will seem all the more shorter. Tomorrow shall be spent working working working for yet another week of this drudgery we call school. Death by education. gah!
But I guess if I had to put today into a few words i would say "eyebrow scrutiny wavering attention spans mixed signals mixed feelings ups downs flats sharps curly fries spit up on a hardees tray pointless flirting abandoned on a tree inhibition followed by uninhibition and non alcoholic highs (2 different kinds in one night baby!)... TORN"
