The easiest way to boost a word count is to be aware of the words you've done (which is a good start) then try racing yourself. How many words can you write in half and hour? Can you beat that? Try getting an egg timer for the half hour slots. To put it in perspective, the word count aim for NaNoWriMo is 1667, I usually try to write 2000 words a day, that is, admittedly fiction, I can't write science that fast, but 1000 words a day ought to be doable, even around the jobs, if you focus! Good luck. (Also, if you focus in half-hourly chunks to get the stuff done, you can take guilt free breaks). Good luck!
Anyways, are non-London-peeps not invited to birthday thingies? How rude!
I just cleared 1000 words for the day explaining DNSSEC-bis to the reader, am most pleased.
Re: "London-peeps" -- Sorry, didn't mean to exclude you; I haven't organised any birthday-related events yet, but whatever I do eventually organise will most likely occur in London, hence the slightly inaccurate address. :)
