Oh I was totally on Buffy's side for that, because I really empathised with her. So much so that the first few episodes made me sob. Yeah, I'm a basket case. But I felt that Xander should have been waaay more understanding. She's BUFFY - she wouldn't have "abandoned" them unless she had a really good reason or something terrible had happened. And I can't believe how insensitive he was. It's annoying cos usually I adore Xander, but I'm having a hard time liking him this season :( May have to rewatch my fave S2 eps :P

But I totally understand his animosity towards Angel. I like that we have at least one person that doesn't like him. And maybe it was initially fuelled by jealousy, but it means they have another perspective. It's just how Xander treats (or was treating) Buffy that pisses me off. In that Dead Man's Party argument especially. I was annoyed that he didn't respect her choice in.... whichever the latest one was (!), but I understand his position.

Oh yeah, I'm not saying Willow isn't responsible. But I understand that ship too. Argh Joss is evil!! X/C and W/O are my faves!!!!!!! Grrrr....

Xander's my fave too, but I'm pissed off with him atm so I voted Faith in the poll :P Buffy/Xander is also cute. And potentially v hot :D

Ooooh comic spoiler please! Does Xander ever end up with someone (other than Anya)?

I understand that. Buffy is my girl and I definitely see where she's coming from. I just also see how Xander could feel really hurt and betrayed. In my rewatches, I've noticed how early Xander has a bit of an anger problem. He has trouble keeping his temper in check. This is particularly interesting when we learn a little more about his father.

Uh, comic spoiler, Xander is currently dating someone other than Anya, but it's not someone you've met yet in the series. Needless to say, it's not Buffy *grumbles* BUT, there is major B/X tension.

Yeah Xander does snap a lot, at least in the seasons I've seen. Can't wait to learn more about his family :)

Yeah I googled the Xander shippage in the comics :( Stupid Dawn. And yeah Buffy falls for him, right? And I know Anya dies :( Stupid spoilers.

Stupid Dawn ruins everything. It's even worse because I quite like Dawn and want her to be shiny and happy and everything. But thoughts of her and Xander just rub me the wrong way. And, yes, Buffy falls for him, but the extent of her feelings is open for interpretation.
