Avatar Thinky Thoughts: favourite episode.

Oct 11, 2011 18:45

I just watched The Painted Lady again.  And cried.

This is my absolute favourite episode.  Even though there are some I enjoy more, some that are funnier or more exciting, this one will always be my favourite.  Because this is what I want to do with my life: help those in need, specifically, those repressed and/or in poverty.

I haven't really got much to say about this apart from that I will always adore this episode.  The only negative point I have about it is the people who worked in the factory were put out of work by Katara, and now THEY are the ones living in poverty, but the fact that an arms factory (I assume it was an arms factory seeing as it was run by the military) was destroyed outwieghs that for me.  Well, actually what makes me not get all pedantic about this is that the gang are working towards a revolution - changing the entire structure of the Fire Nation, and in the new order those people made redundant by Katara would surely find work in new endeavours.

Yeah, I just bullshit-justified her actions to preserve this episode as my favourite.  But she's a kid and I forgive her for her morally ambiguous and not-well-thought-out action :D
