Stuff
So I'm watching Orgazmo. It's awesome. For those of you that don't know it, it's this indie film Trey Parker and Matt Stone made in 1997. And wow, it's so much better than I expected. The script's clever, the characterisation is hilarious, the plot's pretty standard but they carry it off with originality while making fun of their low budget. It's very Pythonesque. Plus omg Matt Stone!!! He's hilarious in this film. Cracks me up every time he's onscreen :D And Trey is the epitome of cuteness. He needs to be in my pants. Right now.
Of course the women are getting a pretty shit time of it. I'm not getting angry about it because I don't want to spoil and excellent film which shouldn't be taken seriously but still. Would it have killed them to have a kickass female porn star character? One who, like Ben (Orgazmo's sidekick) was intelligent and did porn because she likes doing it. But I guess it's too much to ask from a male writer, however awesome he is.
But while I'm waiting for megavideo to reset the limit (there's at least one other person using it in the Hall and there's one limit for all of us so...), here's a little show analysis I snurched from musical_junkie . Basically she was commenting on the slightly disappointing nature of today's Who, and ranked her shows. This interested me so I'm ranking mine. :D These are the shows I'm currently watching, not ones I've watched before.
Expect the Best Every Week: Doctor Who, Community, Chuck.
Expect the Best Two out of Three Episodes: South Park, Farscape.
Expect the Best One out of Three Episodes: HIMYM (it's got sloppy lately, though the last episode was ace), Family Guy, True Blood, Big Bang Theory.
Expect the Best Three or Four Times a Season: Glee, Smallville (but that might be because I've fallen out of love with it).
Yup, I think that's right. You know, I have been so pleasantly surprised by how excellent Chuck is.
Update on the iPod situation: not to jinx it, but rice seems to be the cure for all ipod diseases. IPod is a bit temperamental but is working ok atm. Pretty certain it's not going to stay that way though, which pisses me off because it was working excellently, and it's 3 years old. I'm going to have to earn extra money over the summer to buy a new one. Sighs. But thanks so much for the advice and support guys! I really really appreciate it :)
