Wow, I never thought about it that way but you're totally on the mark there. There are so many great early eps with them just being adorably innocent and not knowing about adult concepts to hilarious effect. And then now they're sort of a lot more bitter and cynical, lol. Makes sense.
Of course Stan/Wendy is awesome, it's the OTP of the show. I love the early episode when Stan throws up whenever she talks to him, haha, soooo cuuuute~~
Style bromance ftw. Some Trabed parallels for sure y/y? I never thought of Kyle as gay so much as just kid-like in his view of the opposite sex but I don't feel like I've seen enough eps thinking about that to know for sure.

I think Cartman is too big of a douchenozzle to be in love with anyone but himself. He's like the gross frat guy who doesn't ever actually want to be with chicks other than having sex with them and treating them like meaningless objects. So there's that.

I don't know enough about the intricacies of the other minor characters to comment on them, other than Token would be totally straight but laid back and very comfortable with his sexuality (he's just a chill guy). This is the way Riley is: he's not at all uncomfortable around gay males and we've even played spin the bottle where he's kissed guys and not felt weird about it. He can get a back massage from a guy without feeling threatened or weird. but it doesn't do anything for him sexually. (...unfortunately XD) That's how I view Token cuz he just seems like he'd be chill. So I support your Token/Clyde experimentation =P

Aw! Though I am glad that they dumped that joke. I don't find vomit funny. In my personal canon though, when they have sex for the first time, Stan runs to the bathroom after and throws up. Wendy's sitting up in bed all worried, then she smiles. And Stan comes out of the bathroom brushing his teeth all embarassed but she thinks it's adorable :D

....maaaybe.... I think Style's in a league of its own though. Like, it's a different kind of ship. But in the way that both characters need each other and something would be missing from their lives without the other then yeah, totally the same.

I love imagining them older! Obviously I've got my SP!university canon down, and I'm building on my high school canon too (it's when all the ships start - Creek, Damien/Pip, mah ot3... woohoo!).

He does. At first I was all "dude that kid's gonna be FUCKED UP" but now I quite like that whatever shit happens to him he's still cute and pure. It's nice to think of, seeing as all the other kids are fucked up :D

And this is why.
South Park is gay. No seriously, it has some of the best pent-up gayness ever. If Matt and Trey aren't bum buddies then I will be shocked and appalled (and also a cactus).
So there's all the sexual references and innuendo and they're all GAY (cos apparently they hate vaginas).
Additionally, these CHARACTERS are great to slash (and fic and love and...) because they are comedy characters. Comedy characters (think Anya and Cordy) are the best, because they are the most interesting and zany. Because of the nature of SP's humour, you've also got pronounced, exaggerated personalities that are just plain awesome. And thanks to all the fucked up shit that goes on, you can pretty much imagine the character however you want.
Y'see? Tis good.
