So I left school after third period today to watch the inaugeration with my friends, considering that it's this huge piece of history and all. When I got back to my house, my mom was pissed. Nothing I wasn't expecting, but I was a little disappointed that she couldn't see that this experience is worth so much more than half a day of school. When I'm sixty, I want to be able to tell my grandkids that I enjoyed this moment fully with my friends and didn't spend it learning how to differentiate between the Spanish forms of "to be". Oh well. She got over it, and I'm not sorry I did it.
