christmas in greenwood. . ..
well, i missed my train to chicago last nite, so im stuck in greenwood for one more day. the only plus side - i will get to see the 70th annual greenwood christmas parade later today. this excites me bc i havent seen it in years and i have great memories watching it as a child. so i sat down just now and browsed thru the lineup for the parade, when it suddenly hit me - i live in redneck country afterall....here are a few examples of the lineup (i shit you not...if im lyin then im dyin...)

God please dont put santa in a tractor! it will ruin all my childhood innocence. No, if i remember correctly, santa rides on whichever fire engine in town is the newest...you know...just like he does in all the stories... "twas the night before christmas, and all thru the house, children were screaming and hiding under furniture as old st. nick's fire engine, sirens blazing, crashed to a screeching halt on the roof..."
