“If things had been different,” Sei smiled, his eyes more expressive here than in real life. Here in this mental realm, Sei had more energy in him, more movement, and the most important - more time. “We could have been together as siblings.”
“The two of us,” Aoba said, wiping at the hot tears streaking down his cheeks with the back of his hand, “I could have taken you home.”
“Shh,” Sei embraced his brother, his pale white skin a strange contrast to Aoba's warm complexion. “I'll be with you forever.”
“Forever?”
“Yes, Aoba,” Sei's embrace was tight and long, “forever.”
