Nature

Crazy weather we are having, huh? It's felt like early October or late September the past couple of days. Not that I'm complaining. But it must be confusing for the plants.

Interesting sight this morning. I missed part of it, but apparently there was a fawn that was trying to climb into the hammock in our front yard. Silly thing. Turns out the fawn also had a broken or dislocated hind leg. Dad would have shot it out of mercy, but you aren't allowed to hunt on Sundays. There was a whole gang of em too. Five does. Looked like two mothers and three babies. Best I could tell, they were venturing near the house in search of food. There is an oak tree near the house, so they were probably after the acorns. There were also some limbs down that dad had cut off a tree.

Anyway, it was a nice sight to see. Haven't seen deer near our house in a while. Seems strange, but it's almost like they got smart this hunting season or people have been really lucky and killed most of them off cause you don't see many out any more unless it's way after dark, or like this morning, they happen to come near the house.

Looks like today will be a cold day. I'm glad I got some new sweaters from JC Penny. They were having a sale yesterday, so mom got me some early birthday presents :)
