V for Vendetta is a wonderfully crafted piece of art.
I must see it again, for there was too much to take in at one viewing, so I will save any criticism for later. But for you theatre students who should learn mask work (that's all of you), Hugo Weaving does an amazing job. The best mask work I have ever seen (though admittedly, the film angles make it more effective & slightly easier than with a crowd). You never see V's face as anything but the mask, and yet he is possibly the most expressive character in the entire film.
A must.
