Confession
„I know you call me El Diablo.“
“Who? Moi?”
“Yes, Captain. I’m sorry you got that impression of me.”
Silence.
“I’m also sorry I behaved like an asshole towards your best buddy.”
“He loved you very much…”
“He loves your Colonel more. Always did.”
“They’re made for each other. They just didn’t realize it back then.”
“Face always put the job before me. Hannibal this, Hannibal that. I mean I was a dedicated soldier but he drove me crazy with his dutifulness.”
“Jealous, huh?”
A nod, then, “But I won’t betray you all. I think you did the right thing.”
