2010 was an eventful year. Life is good. I felt that I grew up a lot in the period of 12 months. I feel new. Somewhere along the year, realization hit me hard, that I wasn’t getting any younger and when warning bells rang from within me, I thought some things have to change to fit in with the demands of everyday life. And indeed, they did. I happily did.
My relationship with my boyfriend, Hafiz, hit the 6th year and we blossomed even more as a pair, especially in the last 2 months of 2010. 6 years = 72 months and we’ve been through an incredible ride, journeying all the months to get to where we are right now. We have peaked to a comfortable point and without a doubt, we have matured very much together. My boyfriend has taught me a lot in 6 years and his patience is admirable. I wish I have half the patience he has. As always, I am thankful for his presence in my life and gratified that God crossed our paths. Our relationship has been beautiful.
My family, they are my backbone, my pillar of strength and they have been there for me for at every single milestone that I have hit from the time I was born up till now, even at this age where I already have a stable career. They are my inspiration. I cannot express how deep my gratitude and thanks are to them.
2011 begins with me resuming school. January started with my 2nd year in university, where I am doing my Bachelor in Communication. Communication is an area where I have always been interested in and I am contented to have been accepted into the course.
Working in Microsoft has been a rewarding experience for me and I have been contributing to this astounding corporation for almost a year now. It has been remarkable.
Of course, I still breathe football every 2 days of the week (on average) and still, I pledge allegiance to the one and only greatest football club in the world (in my eyes!) - Arsenal; who’s been playing sexy football since 1886!
It has been a packed 12 months in 2010 for I have had to juggle school, work, love, family and life all together. But I have no grievances because I am blessed to be given the opportunity to study, the chance to be employed by an incredible company, to be able to love, to be loved and to be able to live life to the best way I possibly could.
What a blessing. Thank you, Allah, for bestowing the finest on me.
And with that, I mark my comeback (hopefully!) to blogging. I hope the fresh year has been treating all of you excellently!
