I LOVED Away We Go. Fantastic movie! Seriously fantastic!!!
I find it awesome how Sam Mendes takes two couples...Frank and April from Revolutionary Road and Burt and Verona from Away We Go...gives them a similar issue in life, which is basically that they are a new couple trying to figure out where they belong in life, where and how they should raise their children, etc...and yet these two couples are insanely different, and the movies are sort of polar opposites, even though they are tied by that same theme...
I dunno. I guess that's not Mendes' doing, because he didn't write the original plot for Revolutionary Road...
but whatever, it's just something I was thinking about...how two people can have the same situation, but one person can take that situation and destroy themselves over it, while the other person can take that situation and make themselves stronger.
Whatever, I'm just rambling now. Maybe someone understands what I'm trying to say.
