My dear friend, Vera Nazarian (norilana ), has had some difficult times in recent years. Just when it all seemed to be resolving in her favor, her city has decided to take away part of the property that she has worked long and hard to keep. Details can be found on her LJ here. However, Vera has been a tried and true friend to me, both personally and professionally when I've had my own trials and tribulations.
