What's Been Going On...
Well, Friday, when I was bringing in the trash can from the curb, I stepped into a hole made by the water pouring out of the corner of our carport where the rain gutter isn't working correctly with the same leg that I had twisted last Sunday and down I went. I panicked because I knew there was a concrete splash guard next to the hole and I was afraid that my knee was going to hit that instead of the ground. I still wound up scraping my knee and I panicked for a few moments because I was not sure if I could use my left leg to push my self up from where I was kneeling on my right leg, but I was able to and got up and didn't make my ankle any worse than it was already, thank goodness.
On Thursday, I went ahead and ordered a replacement wireless transmitter for my car. Should be here either this week or next. I'll be glad when I can actually arm my car's alarm again.
I requested to have December 4th off this year for my birthday. My birthday is actually on the 5th of December, but I wanted Saturday off so that I and my wife can actually go somewhere and do something for my birthday, like eat in a fancy place or whatever, go see a movie, go to Jackson, something for both of us to do. It also works out good that I got that day off because I sing in my church's choir and we're having our Christmas Cantata on my birthday, and we usually practice for the last time early on the Saturday before the cantata, and this way, I can go in for the practice and then go home and get some more sleep and then not have to go to work for eight hours that night...Woo!
