Have you ever had a -perfect- day, walking on clouds almost the entire time, then you went home, & after less than five minutes, your family had put you in one of the most rotten moods ever? That's how my day was.
The school choir that I'm a member of, a Girls' Ensemble, is one of the top groups on the east coast, as we've proven every year since our old director came back (hey, it says something when you get invited to the White House & -turn it down-). Today, we got the chance to prove it again this year. If you've learned anything about me yet, it should be that music is my biggest reason for living; if you told me I would never sing again, I'd kill me, you, or both of us. Naturally, I was happy to be performing in front of an appreciative audience, & even happier because we KICKED ASS!!!
*ahem* Sorry 'bout that. But we did. So there.
Any ways, the bus ride home was fun; I got into a competition with my friends to see who could keep singing the longest without screwing up while the kid in the seat behind us sang various annoying songs. I won. More Joy.
I got back to school, & convinced all the people who had to go to the same class as me to skip out of all but the last 15 minutes of last period. [You didn't read that, Sam.] Then, after staying after for a quick half-hour review for the next class, I went to see "Ice Age" with Sam. Yes, the one I just told he didn't read that. Laughed my ass off, before & after the movie. Got Sam to drop me off at Dairy Queen & bought two Blizzards. I even had a lot of fun buying the Blizzards, but that's another story.
Anyway, I walked a few blocks back to my house & ate the Blizzards on the way. The moment I got in the door, I got the third degree. "Where were you?"..."How did you get home?"..."You went out with a boy without telling us first?!" That sort of thing.
The last question was the funniest, 'cause I had asked my dad on Thursday if I could go, & he'd had no problem with it. Of course, I should have known he wouldn't think to tell mom. ¬.¬
Then dad got home & they got in one of their arguments over something stupid & trivial. As usual, it ended with both of them telling me how terrible the other was. But I suppose I'm doing the same thing right now, neh? *disgusted sigh*

On the bright side, I managed to figure out what's been taking up so much space in my inbox. Apparently, I had an e-mail from a friend that had scans of almost a dozen of his sketches embedded in it. Also, I think I actually knew the right answer to Slack's Quote of the Week contest. But only 'cause I've been exposed to wierd influences.
