(no subject)
At my work there is a cafe that has daily specials which we get a weekly email for and one of the lunch specials this week is "Black history month special". It includes bbq chicken, collard greens, macaroni & cheese, cornbread and sweet potato pie.
Shouldn't that be fried chicken? and what happened to the watermelon?? I mean come on.
In other news, Neil rocks and treated me for dinner and the movie for my bday on Sat night. It was good times and the movie was pretty good. I don't think there was a single "woah" in it.
It was just Joseph and me for the aquarium on Sunday. I think every family in 4 counties with 5+ kids decided to go too. Stroller parking was highly under-used. Not too many of them were screaming but they were perpetually underfoot. With a little patience we did manage to see all the cool fish and sharks and frogs and sea lions and oh oh we managed to get to the otters at feeding time. They are so cute.. like giant swimming ferrets. They were a lot bigger than I remember otters being, well the male one was anyhow. We've decided we need to check out the Monterey Bay aquarium sometime :)
I dyed my hair the darker version of my usual color last night. I like the color fine, but I noticed this morning that I'd messed up a spot in the front which I'll try to fix tonight. With all the rain and flooding I was so tempted to work from home today even though I have a morning meeting. But the traffic was so light from it being Presidents' day I decided to go in. I did not enjoy the drive in. I'll prolly work part of the day from home when I find a lull in the rain.
But more importantly.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO penghdragon :)
