Adventures In Maryland................
Dun dun dun
Okay It Begins at about 530pm sunday eveinng when I drop my mother off at the church for the meeting she was facilitating. So moms taken care of for at least hours... i go to taity's house....... I find out she's grounded cause her friend has her back pack with all her home work in it... so i offer, if she pays gas money i'll drive her the 20 some miles to the friends house. So we go out and i fill the gas tank and we set off..... we get maaaaaaaybe 3 miles away and she tells me to go through a parking lot to avoild a light...... so im driving through the lot and low and behold by the dumpster of the Taco bell is a sign.... a TACO BELL sign...... This for two taco bell lovers is *gahhhh* heaven before up so i pull up to it... and realise its really big...... I MEAN REALLY BIG... bigger than my truck!
Taity, looks at it and is like OH MY GOD!!!!!! so we try and put it on my truck.... but its not working.... so i rearrange it, and find rope in my truck..... so i"m trying to tie the sign to my truck my looping the corners and keeping it tight by the corners of the sign.... one problem.... ony 2 corners..... the top is rounded...so im rearranging, trying to get it tied down.... i move the truck then go back to attempting, cause im working with 2 too short ropes.... and having issues.... cause ya know ... its bigger than my truck.
So this van pulls up and this older europen man gets out. I'm thinking, maybe he has some more rope... so i smile and he pulls out bungie cords and a line attached to a crank thing that can hook to things, made for securing stuff...... JUST WHAT I NEEDED!.... and so he gets out and we're talking and he's securing the sign to my truck... he has me get in.... cause its interferes with the doors, Mean while taity is on her cell phone with her boyfriend roger saying "if i die... i just want you to know, I love you" *thinking....... oh thanks taity* so the guy finishes securing and i asking how i can reach him to give him back the things, and he says no keep them, he has lots, and i'm going thank you thank you thank you.....
Taity and i realize, that, well she can't take it home, cause we're supposed to be going and getting her home work.. and well i cant take it home 'cause i have no room... and so I think of my Ex, Bobby, he has a large space in his back yard, and loves me... and he'd do this for me. so... i start off driving towards his place... I see people walking past and thier faces droppppppp .... and thier arms follow pointing.... people in cars sorta looking at us... I mean come on, how many times have YOU seen a ELEVEN FOOT by NINE FOOT taco bell sign drive by...
I'm only doing like 35, cause any thing over that the sign beguins to like lift up... Taity and i are just sure we're just going to like fly away.... mean while i have no rear view mirror and very, very limited sight on my side mirrors.... so I'm trying to be watchful, and in front of me, about 2 blocks a head pulls out a cop! and so Tai and i think, we know its not against the law to take the sign, but we definatly arnt so sure about the attachment of the sign to the truck. So we both come to the stop sign and the cop turns, i go straight, we see that hes on his cell phone so We automatically know hes calling for back up to like pull us over and kill us or some thing....... I drive on, waiting to hear the sirens start wailing... i make it closer to Bobby's house....... and we see another cop shes going "were gonna get pulled over" "no," i say very sure, "we arnt"
Through, about 4 miles of traffic I drive.... so i make it to bobby's house, driving around the known cop houses. i back my truck into his drive way so the first thing he sees it the back of my truck ...
The sign....... So i bound out of my car up to his door and knock...... and be fore he even has the door open I say "tell me you love me!" he sees me and is bewildered then sees the sign and Taity and his mouth drop, and his eeys go reallllllllly wide....... "you didnt steal that did you?" Tai and i Laugh...."not by any terms of the law" we smile.... "so why do i love you?" "we need a place to store this" i explain..... "OH" his mother walks out and is like holy shit! and askes us if we stole it....... and we're like no..... and his mom just sorta shakes her head at me and goes back inside..... we un hook the thing and move it into his back yard...........
So we are now the proud Co-Owners of an 11 foot by 9 foot taco bell sign.......
so tai and i get the bright idea (whiles driving past a mcDonalds with like 30 foot arches) to make a trojan horse of Fast food signs.......
