Sometimes I wonder why my children are so geeky and then on days like today, driving them to their summer science classes while discussing the mitochondrial Eve and other DNA evidence supporting the out of Africa theory, early tool usage wrt the early settlement of Australia, and theories on Lucy's tool usage (in which even the youngest joined in both stating things he knew and asking intelligent questions) I realize that the poor buggers never stood a chance.

And I'm not even an Anthropologist dammit!
