... you should try to find some stuff by the Scottish indie/noise-rock band The Jesus and Mary Chain. I just bought Psychocandy, and after five tracks, I can live with the constant buzz. They sound eerie and garage-ish at once, probably due to the mix of heavy reverb and overly distorted guitars.
But it rules.
PS: Bought Terry Gilliam's classic movie Brazil. Anyone up for a movie night soon? This little movie is said to be extraordinarily brilliant, and judging by what I have seen of it, it is.
