I'm not much of a Burns fan, but I do love this song. I used to sing it, the ex played guitar. It has a bit of meaning for me because of that. The words are lovely but for years it did make me cry.

LOL! I'd be glad to.
I'm just watching the tv. There's a concert on with various singers doing Burns songs.
Burns Supper events are things you really only go to if you're a middle aged businessman networking or if you live abroad :)

I have been to one, it was a company pat itself on the back do. And a friend reminded me she went to many of them with clubs and societies at University.
They are a big ex-pat thing though. The Scots are like the Irish, hugely patriotic as soon as they go to another country (or if football is involved).
