"Another Saturday night...."
Miscellaneous updates:
* Move was successfully accomplished in the beginning of April and I ended up having to cover only one month of rent between the move here from there.
* I have a "new" car, a happy little 87 Honda Civic. It has over 200,000 miles on it, and I had to learn to drive stick/manual for it, but I got it rather inexpensively from a classmate and it gets me where I need to go, so I'm happy.
* I'm quite pleased with my new home, I get along very well with my new roomies and I'm right in front of the hospital so when I have to get up ridiculously early in the mornings for my rotations, I can almost literally roll right out of bed and into the hospital. =) I'm much closer to Trader Joe's and a Mexican supermarket and I've even been venturing to cook something every now and then.
* I'm done with the "school" part of school and in the mist of studying for the big, scary board exam. I don't miss those uncomfortable plastic chairs in the lecture hall, but I do miss seeing people (classmates) on a daily basis. I get up in the mornings, go for a job, get the coffee going and walk over to the nearby library for a full day of studying.
* I've been catching movies here and there for study breaks. "Mission Impossible" was bleh, but "The Da Vinci Code" was a lot better than I expected it to be from the reviews, and "X-men:3" was fun, but felt forced in some parts.
* my computer has a little gnome in it that means that it doesn't always start when I want it too, in fact it seems determined not to start when I really *need* it to, and occasionally the screen fades to white for no reason. I've had the IT guys look at it, a friend has taken it apart and put it back together and it worked better for a while, but it is just cranky and fussy about when it will start up. So, uh, yeah, it's the computer's fault that I don't update as often as I should. Yeah, that's it. ;)
