China... I can feel the distance getting close
This is absolutely ridiculous. I go into the kitchen to remind our housemates that rent was due in last Saturday yet we still haven't recieved anything from them, and they run out the kitchen like I'm a pest, without a word and before I could even open my mouth.
At first they were really nice and pleasant and then something happened, I don't know what, that changed them and now they don't even speak to us. Ray is just annoyed about it at this point, but I still wonder if maybe we did something that offended them and don't know it. For the life of me I can't think of anything, but I mean, they are Chinese which means they're from a completely different culture so maybe I did or said something that didn't sit well with them and I was not even aware of? But still, Lina was always very sweet, talkative, fiendly and smiley, and now she acts like I'm not even there. It just doesn't make sense.
I've tried to muster up the courage to confront them, but even when I am decided to start the peace talks, as soon as we hit common ground they gather all their things and hide inside their room. Literally, if Ray and I enter the kitchen to prepare or eat dinner, they will always, every single night, eat in their bedroom as opposed to the dinning table just not to have to be with us.
It makes us both angry, but I don't want everyone to hate each other, so I'll keep trying to find the moment to talk. Maybe I will just knock at their doors and say very dramatically, "We need to talk."
