life: sometimes all i do is watch the sky.
Well, I can barely believe it is February already. My birthday is tomorrow and I still don't know where January went. I think over Christmas break I forgot that when school is in session, time really goes by for me quickly. I'm surviving spending my days with first graders, although some days it's rough. They are so sweet though. They've all been making me birthday cards. A ton is happening at my school in the coming weeks in terms of staffing. Our principal was chosen to open one of the new elementary schools in the fall, so they will be naming a new prinicipal for our school. This will mean a lot of changes in teaching staff too. I figure I will probably stay right where I am as long as the new principal is bearable.
In terms of social life, I've been dating about and having a good time. I was involved in a relationship that could have easily been headed towards something long-term, but it just wasn't right for me. So after many days of thought and talking through it with people, I ended it with him last night. But no worries because there's at least one other guy right now that I'm interested in getting to know better. I tell you, balancing work and a social life is a drain sometimes! But hey, you only live once, right?
