Uncertainty is the worst part. In part, I wish one of my companions would return just so I would discover for certain they had returned home - then again, I don't want them to be trapped here again.

Seeing others worlds is many a kid's fantasy, heck, I know I wanted to explore since I was in one city all my life until I was twenty-one. But now? Man, home sounds like heaven.

[She shuts her eyes and snorts in humorless laughter.] If you had mentioned multiple worlds to me a year ago, I'd have grounds to call you insane. I don't enjoy fantasy much, and had no need of my dreams of exploring. My work provides enough opportunity.
