Busy indeed. There's already been too many missteps to clean up.

That she is. I'm wondering, though, if there is a way to turn that into an advantage.

How so? It sounds like she's still pretty unpredictable.

It sounds like this Gilford guy is having a pretty rough time of it, too.

Is she? Her desire to seem Cain seems reliable, at the very least.

He's been having a rather eventful few months, but nothing a little medicine won't sweep away. It seems he's not really mad; he's been given poison over the last several weeks that's been inhibiting his faculties.

Well, maybe not unpredictable, but stubborn. And who knows who she'll go for next.

I see. But if he witnessed you committing murder, why do you want to cure him?

That is true. Her affections are rather fickle, but I think that so long as she feels that I am discouraging her from seeing Cain, she will want to see him all the more.

Because as an adult, he was -- and presumably, will be again -- entirely self-centered and spoiled. With the thread of losing his title and his inheritance, as well as having suffered daily abuse from his staff that his family has blithely ignored, I imagine his focus will be on his own personal affairs.

Well, I hope you're right about that, Jezebel. It sounds like you've got a lot of balls you're juggling right now. I'd offer you a place to stay if it all comes crashing down, but unfortunately Wesker blew up the island.

I appreciate the offer, but I think it will be alright. While Cain might be able to unravel my own personal plans, I doubt he could ever really do much to Delilah itself. And, as unhappy as I'm sure they would be with me if I were to fail, I do not think they will throw me to the dogs should things go awry.

Well, I hope that's true, for your sake. Just keep in mind that there's this thing about evil organizations. They're not very loyal, as a rule.

Oh, believe me, I am well aware. I still do not believe they will throw me out, but I have no doubt they'll find any number of other ways to punish me for failure, should it come to that.
