She replies with a faint pull of her lips into an angry smile. "What am I supposed to think when you say that you're going to lie to me after  I told you that I'd tie you down and tor-" a genuine smile comes to her lips as she pauses. "It stung."
Navarre snarls, "You are the most infuriating woman ... I take that back, you are the most infuriating /person/ I know!.."

She glances over her shoulder at the door, "Unless you were planning to toss me into the hall?" Now might not be the best time to tease but she does so anyway.

"Don't tempt me," Navarre pours liquid into one glass and then into another.

"That's what I do,"  She lifts the glass to her lips whispering, "Tempt."

..."Am I really the most infuriating person that you've ever met?" She asks enjoying the tenderness of his hands and the pain.
Navarre's expression softens at the sensation passing through his hair. "Yes, you are." Knowing he can afford the moment, he lifts his gaze from the cuts on her hand and smiles, looking into her eyes.

"Enjoy your meeting." But there is a teasing in her tone that slips away as quickly as it starts making it clear that she hopes he is  thinking that he should have been late (to his meeting).

Navarre watches her go but notes this new lesson; get dressed for meetings after the moment and not before. "Damn you," he calls after her, "I won't be able to concentrate!"

"I hope not," she replies but she is already out and moving to climb in soft silk, velvet and  the sound of soft bells which proclaims her intention to leave. Soon she will be gone moving across the dome topped roof to drop, perhaps, at her own balcony and find some peace in sleep or music. "I love you."
