"as freedom is a breakfastfood"
kai/d.o/krystal, au, pg, 5301 words
eighteen is an age of badly made decisions and irreversible ups and downs. jongin, soojung, and kyungsoo navigate their last year of high school.

i can be found here if you ever want to talk to me!

A sudden thought of what it would be like to be Soojung creeps into his head. Kyungsoo crushes it before it can grow. )

okay, i am going to try to be constructive and structure but this is going to collapse into a flailing session i can feel it

firstly,

GROWING TENSION BETWEEN JONGIN/KYUNGSOO I AM ALL FOR IT because how could someone as cool and laidback as jongin lose to a nerd like kyungsoo??? romantic plot aside, kyungsoo is still the friend who gets left out of things and the friend who well isn't really the friend, and after a while that gets very tiring and kind of hurts you i guess. which is why i love that scene between soojung/kyungsoo where she gets all deep and un-teenager-y and goes

“I think… we too often take silence as consent to hurt people where it does the most. If they don’t say anything, how can anyone know that they actually feel pain? Maybe that’s why we do it. People who don’t scream from the pain get hurt the most.”

this speaks volumes to me, because SOOJUNG YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT HIM

also i like how frustrated soojung is getting with jongin and his dgaf attitude (because i totally would), and whether or not that pushes her away from him and sends him on a path of self-destruction (bc teenagers and melodramas y'know) would be interesting to see. and the fact that she doesn't want to hurt him but she knows that it's for his own good is just aaaaagh i don't want to see the day when they grow apart, it's going to hurt there's going to be alot of pain ;; (because what if kisses don't save it what if it isn't enough)

mostly i just want to see how the dynamic plays out when they finally make their decisions and whether someone will pull a complete 180 and declare "well fck it i'm not going to uni let's see what you have to say about THAT" and everyone loses their shit. (or not).

i am very bad at commenting i'm sorry u___u

yeah i was like hmmm you two have a rivalry that you don't even know about, don't you?? but you're right about ksoo though, he's almost always neglected, and they don't mean it, but it hurts more because of that. soojung is supposed to be the most introspective of the three, but i think sometimes even she misses the gravity of her words and how they apply to her situation at hand.

you can see how the dynamics play out now because CHAPTER FOUR IS UP thanks for reading <3 you are always so ~cool~
