Ok so first and foremost, some school updates.
Last time i wrote about a quiz that i thought completely destroyed me. Well it turns out i got really lucky and ended up getting a 45/50 on it... so all that worrying was for nothing.
Week three was horribly boring and full of work... midterms were on thursday... and the test was hard really hard... I studied for hours upon hours during the week and thank goodness i did. I ended up getting a 37/40 which i think is an A, so i am more than thrilled.
I finished up project 2 today. Both commercials for Bed Bath and Beyond are done. I'm not thrilled with them, they are ok.
So last night.. i got really involved in reading information on my research paper, which is on Dawson's Creek, and i completely forgot that i had a 5 minute script due today. So at um 1am, i started to think of ideas, and i had the worst writer's block ever!! IT sucked.. i could not think of anything remotely interesting/ any story slightly entertaining. So i started to ask myself "what do people my age care/talk about?" the only thing i could think of was relationships. So i then started to ask "what is an interesting aspect of a relationship, that i want to exploit" and i came up with first dates. Specifically the last moment of a first date. That awkward piece of time, where your mind is full of thoughts and expectations, and they are only every fullfilled about 1/10th of the time. So i put together this romantic comedy script called "The Lean In". It is midly amusing, very girly and semi-autobiographical. I just figured that i would present it, then jump onto someone else's idea. Well we've always known i can bs with the best of them... and apparently i should become a salesman, because the class wanted to do my idea. lol... i feel kinda bad for my group becuase my script is such crap. loll it should be fun. one more class note... my first project was one of the pieces picked to be shown to both sections in a screening on monday night, so that is kinda cool... i was super proud and happy with myself for that one.
Thursday night after the test a bunch of us went out. It was my first time out in Armory Square (which is the bar area of the city). (think manyunkish atmosphere). We went to a pub called PJ Dorsey's (think kidare's). there was a dj, and of course i was busting out the dance moves. For some reason people were surprised to see me dance like that.. .little do they know...lol.. they haven't seen me in a club yet... haha.... It was the kind of night that made me miss my dancing buddies.... :( but when people come visit it will be tons of fun!! But yeah.. Armory Square= good times.
This week i kind of played catch up... wrote a bunch of letters, put up some pictures, updated my music, and fell behind on my school work..lol... but on a good note all UCers should be recieving their end of the year videos next week... i am mailing them all tomorrow... so look foward to that... and let me know if there are any problems
Only 2 more weeks before i get to come home... i am totally psyched... i got all my classes that i wanted next semester... including "directing actors" "multicamera production" and "sound for picture"... and i have MONDAYs off (until november)
so yeah for long weekends!!
Doug is coming to visit tomorrow.. so he wins the first visitor award.... i think i am running out of awards to give out...
ok i am beat.. time for bed..
