remembering summer

It's getting cold(er) out here, having turned to November (Rain, being the Season of Mists, and all that jazz). With our erratic heating and schizophrenic apartment temperatures (when the radiators start going, they don't let up until you open windows at 3°c to let the stuffy out; when they turn off you wonder worriedly when they'll ever turn on again) - though still an improvement over the heating situation in our old apartment (yes, it was electric, and yes, we were cheap), we alternately spend days and nights shlepping on the socks, layered sweaters and blankets with stripping down to shorts and tanks and taking cool showers.

It gets dark, and stays dark, a lot, too. So when I idly flipped through some photos from a few months ago and marvelled at the beautiful light in the apartment during the summer, I thought I'd put some up. Maybe a window-kitty series, but more than that.

fun with focus.
I'm reminiscing about summer now because I miss the light. When the time changes this weekend it'll make it easier to get up in the mornings, but the evenings will be the saddest, ever.
