Yesterday on valentines day, I somehow managed to staple my sleeve to my paper for oral communication (the paper I'm not going to use anyway--I might add). It was pretty....embarrassing. Apparently my predicament made all the kwood librarians laugh, which may be a good thing....or not. At least I'm not scarred by this little incident. In a way I'm still wondering how my sleeve managed to get under the stapler.
Oh well.
I'm well into creating the two costumes for anime Iowa. This weekend I finished the poofy pants for my tsubasa costume. I didn't even use a pattern! All I did was make the pants EXTRA HUGE so that they would be extra POOFY (cuz it was going to be a drawstring pair of pants, so more gathers the better). I'm excited that they look really really good. Now I have to figure out what dress to go with it. I'm thinking I'll probably go with the anime version dress cuz I can find more pictures of that one. But I may go ahead and do the manga one.
Oooo The good news is I found the white shoes I wanted that I can wear with both costumes!!! I got em at the IC walmart for 7 bucks. It's totally better than paylesses price of 17.98 which is spensive for me. Anyway, so my costume gathering materials has been going well.
To make things much better my dad gave me 30 bucks! :3 10 is instantaneously going back to chris for helping me buy megan k's birthday gift, and possibly 4 is going to more glow in the dark stars for my costume. Oh how i love those 3d glow in the dark stars. :3 I may also stop over at goodwill buy another sheet so I can get my CCS done asap. It's definitely poofy enough cept I messed up the bottom layer by putting it on backwards (bad side out), middle layer didn't go all the way around, and the top layer doesn't flare out enough. I probably should just start over, but I think I'll just fix it. As Patrick would say, "Pull the fat out of the fire and try to fix it."
I think I also need some more elastic for the sleeves of the CCS dress. I have enough elastic for the gartered socks, but not enough for sleeves. hmmmm....anything else? Oh yeah a half yard of yellow cloth for a mini kero to put on my costume. XD.
So list:
Elastic $1 - 2
Sheet 1.38 - 2.38
half yard yellow cloth $1.5 - 3 (or old good will dress or curtains)
cotton balls (unless I feel like decapitating a stuffed animal from my childhood): $1
Glow in the dark stars: $4
Scissors (my own pair, so I'll stop borrowing dads hair cutting ones): $1 (dollar tree)
Gothy socks (cuz I'm weird).
Ugh...
I also have a meeting with Icey tomorrow about the Mini Prom thing in May. My day is going to be busy. Maybe if I get up early enough I can go to the store first thing and be back by 3:30 to talk to him about preparations. I hope we can come up with some good activities and such.
Anywho it's late...I'm tired....blah.. XD
I'll write an update later once I get further on my costume, or if my life decides to take an unsuspecting turn or twist. :D
