My Saturday was ironic, stupid, and downright irritating.
>_<
Okay, so my dad went on vacation to visit his girlfriend in South Dakota, and left me at home to house sit. On Friday night I locked all the doors and most of the windows, just as a precaution. I thought I was so smart in what I was doing, and that my mom and dad would be proud of me for being such a smart kid.
Oh I thought wrong!!
I went out of the house on Saturday to pick up a few things from Hobby Lobby and managed to get myself locked out of the house. Yes, Typical Joan did the most stupid thing of her life by locking herself out of her dads house (which mind you, isn't normally locked). And to make matters worse, Joan did NOT have a key. Her dad didn't leave one.
I ended up calling my mom on my neighbors cell phone, and she came out and tried a few of her keys to see if they worked. Sadly, none of them worked. So we went to plan B. Apparently I left 1 single blessed window open, and the garage open. I went into the garage, got a ladder and a sharp knife and cut the screen, getting into the house.
Now I know how thieves feel. But I was doing this in the FRONT YARD of my house.
Then another neighbor came over to watch my whole charades of transporting from the ladder, through the window, and into the living room. It was an amazing feat, er...was for me at least, considering how I dislike heights.
Mom and I then went over to wallmart and got some screen stuff to fix the screen, then as we were done fixing the screen, we made a discovery: The screen didn't NEED to be cut to get into the house, and we could have saved some extra cash. *sigh* oh well...
tis a learning experience I suppose.
I guess this is definite proof that either Joan is an idiot, or Joan is human. I can't choose which one is more precise, but meh...I'll get over it..
In other news, today I went to church and got art supplies! :D Art supplies really make my day, specially when they contain extra expensive colored pencils of which I LOVE dearly... ^_^;;
*flies off to happy Joan land*
