Hiya! I am here by way of kyuuketsukirui, and since the "Ask me about my system" challenge has been extended, and I have just figured out my system, I thought I'd post about it.
I have two del.icio.us accounts; one is the in-progress organization/catalogue of my website (which, being hand-coded, is not searchable by tag or rating or wordcount or any such thing), and the other has undergone a slow move toward being an archive of my recs.
The systems are pretty much the same:
[Title] by [Author] (author eliminated for the my-site del.icio.us)
tags: [fandom] [category] [pairing and/or characters] [rating] [word count] [kinks] [author]
(While not all my posts are in that exact order, that is the new order I'm putting it in, and I've got it written on a Post-It note on my desk so I have it at hand whenever I'm bookmarking something. As I have time, I'll fix individual links.)
Or, if it's something I haven't read yet and is on the to-read list:
[Title] by [Author] or [Page Title] (for recs lists, etc)
tags: [unread] [fandom.unread]
So far, "categories" are [au], [coc] (characters of color), [femslash], [gen], [het], and [slash].
Kinks include the following, and I freely admit that some of them are kinks only to me:
80s, aliens-made-them-do-it, angst, clubbing, courtship, crackfic, d/s, first-time, fisting, genderfuck, handjob, humor, kidfic, kink, knives, masturbation, motorcycle, semi-con, voyeur
(Like "80s". >_> not wanting to do that; I hate the idea of my sidebar extending for a really long way down the page, especially if I'm unlikely to read or write more than one or two fics in a certain fandom. I suppose I could break out the ones on the reading del.icio.us into "yuletide" and "other", because Yuletide is where almost all of them come from.
