Quadradius

Well, I've gone and done it again. I found a new game obsession via Jayisgames. This one's called Quadradius, and is sort of like chess except that your pieces can only move one space at a time in the 4 main directions. To spice things up, these power orbs appear randomly over the course of the game -- they grant your piece the ability to do special things. There are too many powers to list here, but some examples are Destroy Column, Wall Row, Smart Bombs, Move Diagonal, and Teach Radial. I recommend perusing the full list of powers here before you jump in and play. I know I had to refer back to that page quite a bit for my first couple of games. There is a time limit for your turn, and if you play a member, they may make it very low (only members are allowed to change the configurations of the board). Members are also allowed access to special powers when they play other members, such as Invisible and Switcheroo. If you're interested in playing a no-pressure practice game, comment or IM or email me, and we can set something up. And yes, I have become a paid member. I highly recommend this game if you like chaotic strategy games like Robo Rally.
