Not-too-restful weekend that started out goodish but went downhill in a hurry. A whisper really is more menacing than a shout.
Owch.
At least I got to see
msvyvyan and
syncretin, and the latter's beautiful new cheekbones. And getting to run into the gallant
aquaplanage was a definite bonus. I felt so brave, venturing out into a social situation after so long under a virtual rock.. I wish I hadn't had to run, run away so quickly. But it's necessary sometimes, especially when you start work at 7am the next morning...
The week's been quite hard on me so far, though I've encountered a lot of encouragement from coworkers who understand that things aren't peachykeen right now. Very grateful to them, because right now every little bit of nice really helps me get through the day.
All credit to housemate and best friend for helping forcibly untangle a nasty miscommunication blip that threatened to fester. Perhaps if you used a slightly blunter stick next time, please...? That one left marks.
I went to my favourite bookshop to pick up something a coworker asked me to get for him. L, the book lady chatted with me about both our recent ups and downs, then presented me with a stack of proofs for borrowing, when she heard me complain that my reading speed always outran my pocketbook. She's so sweet. ^_^
And I love the yummy masoor dhal I just had.
And the Standup tickets I just managed to obtain, by the skin of my teeth.
Like I said, it's the little things..
