Getting ready to leave for the tropics.
Got a new haircut from the lovely Chai at Wildilocks - it's now a very choppy asymmetrical bob, with a razored back and an edgey-coy side parting. I love it love it love it, and it's too hard to describe in words. The fuzzy-razored back is fun to play with, and it's soo easy to take care of. The red has faded to a subtle copper that has mostly vanished under the scissors, leaving a couple of flashes on the side.
The only drawback is the fact that I have to wet my head down every morning to make it behave. First thing out of bed it looks like Astroboy on acid.:P
I've been packing in a vaguely Zen way, by adding two items and removing one from the list each time. It's only a short trip - I don't need more than two pairs of shoes.
Will be out of touch netwise for the week. Don't try to contact me with email either. I won't get it.
Kinda apprehensive, as I will have to spend a lot of time in proximity to my Dad, who is notorious for leaving the diplomacy at the office. And I will have to steel myself for looking like a moon-pale curve in a crowd of cherrywood clothespins. Heh. At least I have a couple of things the locals don't have that can (and have) stopped traffic.:P And get me discounts.
Ah well. Retail therapy is not too bad a substitute for peace of mind.
