So here I am being naughty again, updating from work. The machines are humming along - centrifuge doing its thang, STA-R spitting out INR's, Diamed whirring away with antibody screens.
Crossed fingers. :P
Yesterday was a very long day. Had to put up with shrieking labbies who had the radio blaring out sport at a hideous volume (apparently it was an interesting match). Work was hectic as usual, with (shh)machine hiccups all day.
On the good side, I got to pick up the first set of remastered albums yesterday. I have Violator playing at the moment - a nice change from the chart crap playing over in Biochem.:P Going to try and not stress too hard today.
After work last night I went over to EW's to pick up my latest project - not hard to see why I don't shop for clothes - a 40's jacket in heavy scarlet silk brocade, with a pattern of black cherry blossoms. It has a partial mandarin collar with a plunge neckline, sculpted sleeves and piping on the back. The fabric is smooth and luscious, like camellia petals, and the cut is perfect. I can't wait to show it off!:P
Admittedly red is not a colour that I've often worn, but I've been trying to lately push myself out of my comfort zone/rut. It's probably the brightest non-ironic shade I can carry off. (Hell, irony can tempt me into practically anything.)
Hope it doesn't get too hot too quickly, so I can wear it out to some lovely event soon.:>
