My first assignment for Uni is starting to take shape; I have tentatively decided to touch on China's One Child policy.

I like my Health Care Systems lecturer. We had a long chat about paradigms and viewpoints yesterday evening, after the lecture that ended early. And I managed to score an extension to the assignment, which would have been due on Easter Sunday otherwise (eep!).

I can only hope the Management lecturer is as accommodating. *sigh*

I can tell I'm stressed. I'm sleeping badly, my dermatitis is back, and I am cursing the aphthous ulcers yet again.

On the good side though, I am endeavouring to braise some lamb with the aid of the antique crockpot (literally; twelve dollars at the op shop). Chopped carrots, onions, mushrooms and celery, with garlic, lemon thyme, marjoram and fresh rosemary branches. Liquid of one part Pierrot 2005 merlot to three parts beef stock. I used two lamb shanks (about ten dollars a kilo) as well as a stack of what were labeled "lamb offcuts". At $4.50 a kilo, and trimmed well of fat, they were still a bargain.

Discovered that the IGA carry free range fresh turkey thigh fillets, from Mount Barker. Have obtained, and am hopeful. :)
