I can't get the book until the end of July and after, but I'm a sucker for spoilers. What I want to know is -
What is this thing I hear about Petunia (sp?) getting a Howeler???
One of my friends online mentioned it, but she refused to tell me because she said it was too funny, and I would just have to wait. She meant well, but it made me very angry, so I'm seeking a better friend. lol
After something really impressive happened to Harry and Dudley, Uncle Vernon tried to kick Harry out of the house. Suddenly, Petunia receives a howler saying "REMEMBER MY LAST..."
It's from Dumbledore, reminding her that Harry must stay in their house while he's not in Hogwarts, for it's only there that he can be absolutely safe.
We already know when Lily died protecting Harry he gave them more than that protection, she filled him with a power that was actually able to defeat Voldemort once (book 1), but such protection had to be sealed by "blood" ties. When Petunia accepted to take Harry into her home, she "sealed" this kind of protection, which was "made" of the power that Voldemort doesn't place any value on (love, care). As Petunia seemed to be Harry's only living relative, it HAD to be her to take him, and she knew, because Dumbledore told her this whe she left baby Harry to live with her, for the first time. The howler was just a reminder of what she heard from Dumbledore fifteen years before.
Did I explain it clearly? Need excerpt from the book? ;)
lol I understand now Groovy! *pounces and hugs majorly tightly* (but not so much that you're choked, of course)
Any more spoilers? I know someone told me Narcissa (if I spelled it right) is Sirius's cousin or something like that. How did he die? (If you don't mind taking the time to explain)
Sorry... I just can't wait for the book to come out.
