Burns Night

Aye Fond Kiss is a lovely Burns song, with a very simple melody. Incidentally, I think it's shocking that Live Journal itself did not have a special Burns Night theme. A picture of a haggis in one corner and Rab in the other. There's a brilliant You Tube video of him, with his picture animated, lip movements perfectly synced to some poem - I can't remember which. But the voice was good, and so was the animation - a bit freaky really, like he'd suddenly come to life after two hundred years.

Maybe next year, it'll be legal to import haggis to the US. (I only just learned that it's not, by virtue of an article saying that the regulations may be changed imminently, certain traditional ingredients having been deemed not after all lethal to Americans...)
