Dr. Phill's Reflection
It is my firm belief that our life's experiences have some kind of hidden message that each of us has to find and that each one has some sort of signifcance or lession behind them. Sometimes the lesson is easy to find and figure out while others are more difficult and may never truly be understood. Just recently I have gotten to know a good friend on a deeper level and the more in-depth our conversations got the more we found we had in common. Things took off and before i knew it we had crossed a bridge that i dont think either one of us had thought we would cross. Before i could blink feelings developed and things began to move rapidly more rapid then i think either one of us realized or had planned. Although things did not turn out as i thought they would i just recently have seen the hidden message. THe fact that things didnt go as i hoped they would was the small picture but the big picture was that life grants us special moments with special people and you have to know how to cherrish them instead of taking them for granted because before you know it time has slipped by and you can no longer get that time back. In addition don't focus on what you dont have with someone but rather enjoy what you do have with them. Because you don't know what you got till its gone. Having someone there to listen, or to lean on, or even just to hug " just because you can" is far greater in value. Fate has a way of making things work out and although things have not gone in the direction i had hoped i realize the true friend i have gained and the potentital for something more between us is a bridge down the road that is not as important as is the friendship and moments we share now in the present. We can not predict or foresee what happens in the future but rather we should live and love in the moment because once that time has passed all we have are memeories in our minds. Time stands still for no one.
