It is not about squashing religious freedom. They should just not build that mosque next to Ground Zero. That would be like allowing the Japanese to build a Shinto temple next to the U. S. S. It's like allowing a church to be built on the site of a bombed-out abortion clinic. It's not about rights, it's about being tasteless.

And even if this thing does get built, it's just going to have problems at the wazoo with people who didn't want it there vandalizing it.

They wouldn't have to build one since towns there (as they are here) are infested with churches. Better break them down not to offend or hurt the feelings of clinic bombing victims shall we?
