Well, yesterday was interesting.
I had finals yesterday. So, as you could guess, I was not looking foward to the day. I had to be at class in the city at 9:00am. Needless to say, waking up at 8:56am will not get you there on time. Rachel spent the night, and while half awake, she turned off my alarm which was set for 7:30am. ACK! I jumped in the shower and, for all of you wondering, it is possible to make it to San Francisco from Pleasanton in 20 minutes. I got into class at 9:30am, took my final and was home by 11. Fast, yet hectic morning. Oh well, it turned out ok, and I spent the rest of the day with Rach. Went to Fuddruckers then saw American Wedding. That's some funny stuff.
Last night however, got progressively worse. Jeff, Dustin, Matt and I headed out to Sacramento to meet up with Brett and some of his friends for a night on the town. We decided to stop in Vacaville for some food at an Outback. We ordered some drinks, appetizers, and steak for dinner, and proceeded to hang out for about an hour before the manager came to our table to tell us that our ticket was lost. NO FOOD! He comped our drinks and appetizers, and we ended up leaving, wasting an hour for literally no food. At this point we were contemplating heading to Reno instead of Sacramento, but because of the delay at Outback, we opted out of that idea.
We headed to Sac, and finally, after driving around all of Sacramento, met up with Brett, and some of his friends. We headed to a small bar in his neighborhood and sat down to order drinks. Not two minutes later, Jeff and Dustin come down the stairs from another side of the bar and insist that we leave. Why? It was a gay bar. Did Brett know? Not sure, but we were not going to stay. We went to another small bar on the corner, and that one sucked too, so we proceeded to go to another called the Monkey Bar. This place looked promising, but Jeff was in such a bad mood about the gay bar incident, that we ended up just leaving and complaining all the way back to Walnut Creek.
No more Sac-town. It sucks. With a night pretty much wasted, it's nice to know the caliber of nightlife that San Francisco and the East Bay offers. Reno is sounding really good right now. Yesterday was gay, literally. Fortunately Friday was fun, hanging out in Burlingame. I'm sticking with San Francisco. The gay and lesbian population is larger here than just about anywhere else, yet I have yet to walk into a gay bar here.
Work is calling...
