I'm all freaked out because I'm supposed to go see clowns on Friday and I have gotten crap done. I haven't gottten out a brush or anthing. So I cut stencils tonight. I figured I'd do some basic old school t-shirt designs, throw out examples of writing (block, bubble script and line- Fuck Old English... for now.), but I'm tapped for drawing clowns. I'm so not used to drawing. I should just free hand some with the brush tomorrow. I just realized I'm out of gesso, so I can't prep the signs I wanted to paint for the clown car. Pbblltlttt.... Do they carry gesso at Walmart?
My Dad went last Friday and got my Grandpa a rat terrier puppy. He has been feeling old and lonely, and the last time dad went up to help clear brush, he said he wished Penny were still around. My Granny loved little dogs and she had a herd of mini-poodles, with a dotsen, or mini-pincher thrown in. Penny was the last mini-poodle that had been hers and she lived to be almost 20. So Dad found him a terrier. He sounds 10 years younger.
My Mom fell in love with the puppy, so they went today and got one of their own. This amazed me because we lost my brothers dog and my cat, who had been with us for 13 and 18 years. She swore there would be no more anilmals in her house ever. She was heartbroken. The puppy is tiny, and darling. They asked us what we would name her yesterday. D suggested Brownie or Star. I suggested Bailey or Dublin, cause I was feeling Irish yesterday. So she has been dubbed Bailey Star. I took the kids over after I picked them up, and D had a great time with her. S went to the den and figured out how to break into the tv cabinet. It took about 6 minutes for him to unscrew the knob and get past the child lock. Husband wondered out loud how long it would be until Dad tried to make us the happy owners of a matching dog.
I made a giant batch of Bailey's Chocolate Mousse for our work celebration. Only 2 others brought stuff, so it was mousse, jello salad and chips and dip. No one was there to give me a break, so I ate a baked potatoe at the desk to keep me from chewing off my arm. I did get a break a little later, but I was the last person in the room, so I packed my mousse up and took it back the the fridge in the kitchen and took a bowl for me and a bowl for the chick who gave me a break. Then employees walking by saw us, or heard it talked about. It went from being over half of a 8x13 baking dish to being a tiny 1 inch by 3 inch piece over the afternoon. It took about 20 minutes for chocolate euphoria to kick in, and then I was happy all afternoon. It's a mind altering substance, of that there is no doubt. I have a feeling that I will be pigeon holed into making this at every work pot luck. Like I always make rolls for my husband's family. Our invitations end with "Your bringing the rolls, right? They are so good"
I was really bad last week. I ordered S's enzymes about 3 days too late and he ran out Saturday morning. Oh my GOD!! he was such a wound up, whiney, uncoopertive mess all weekend and then some. I guess he really is reactive to the gluten and cassien. They came in on Monday, but he hasn't been drinking them at lunch. So today I put in a double amount thinking that if he drank only half his juice, he would get a whole dose. Today was the first day at day care that he drank all of his enzyme laced juice. D was so proud, because she made him drink it all. well, no constipation today. but he;s not feeling good about it. Urrghghghhhh.
